OVERVIEW:  The Quotation & Design Specialist will be responsible for the control and completion of multiple projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, standards, profit margin, and goals.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates and revises customer drawings and bill of materials/pricing based on varying provided documents.
  • Generates quotations based on completed drawings as well as projects without drawings.
  • Develops as-built drawings and submittal package drawings.
  • Documents drawings and quotes with internal documentation daily.
  • Ensures positive interaction with customers over the phone and via e-mail while verifying customer specifications.
  • Accountable for meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Additional duties as required or requested.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, government regulations and or engineering restrictions for designs. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. / B.S.) from a four year college or university; preferably in civil, structural or building engineering and 1 to 3 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES OR REGISTRATIONS:

  • None required.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Must be proficient with Autodesk Software AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Autodesk 2015, BIM & Microsoft Office Suite 2013 preferred).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The employee may occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch during shift. Employee will be required to regularly sit, use hand to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee must be able to occasionally lift and or move up to 25 lbs.

TRAVEL:

  • This position may travel up to 5% of the time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position works in an environment with moderate noise levels.
