OVERVIEW:  The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for monitoring and operating CNC (computer numerically controlled) machine to cut fabric parts for the sewing department.  Job will entail loading parts in machine, cycling machine and detecting malfunctions in machine.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and load material into the CNC machine.
  • Develop and save nesting programs.
  • Cut products according to established guidelines and procedures.
  • Make quality checks during cutting process.
  • Perform equipment maintenance as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Additional responsibilities as requested or required.

 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1 year CNC operation experience and or training.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES OR REGISTRATIONS:

  • None required

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is desired. Proficiency in CAM software & CNC programming is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  

The employee will frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch during shift.  Employee will be required to regularly use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms.  Employee must be able to occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position works in an environment with moderate noise levels.
