OVERVIEW: The Senior Installation and Service Technician will be primarily involved with the installation, service and preventative maintenance of Handicare products throughout the US. This individual will be called upon to perform site surveys, installation audits, and quotation work up for system installations. The work performed by the individual would be billable against a particular revenue generating project.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, coordinate, and install Handicare products in their entirety and throughout the life of the project.
  • Provide limited cost estimating & resource allocation for projects.
  • Provide customer and sub-contractor communication, final audit, etc.
  • Perform jobsite supervision of Installation and Service Technicians & serve as a lead in the area of installation procedures and standards, according to project specs and installation best practices.
  • Perform on site surveys at prospective installation sites for the purpose of gathering all required information to plan, quote, and complete a product installation.
  • Perform on site audits of in progress and completed installations to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Coordinate delivery of products and other installation materials to coincide with arrival of labor resources as needed on a project.
  • Arrange site storage for products and materials as needed for installation projects.
  • Keep accurate project records for expenses, man hours worked, various required testing, training etc.
  • Coordinate and manage any other issues required to complete a successful installation project.
  • Schedule and deliver all required customer communication to ensure a successful system installation.
  • Interact directly with owners and staff at Hospitals, Nursing Homes, private residences, Group Homes, etc. while performing the above functions.
  • Train the end users of the equipment on the operational aspects of the equipment sold and installed.
  • Perform service repairs and scheduled preventative maintenance as assigned.
  • Maintain the company service and installation vehicle in good operating condition and cleanliness.
  • Maintain the van inventory in an orderly fashion, at proper levels and account for all items used in the performance of service and installation functions.
  • Travel up to 85% of the time to out of state job sites as directed by management.
  • Additional responsibilities as requested or required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.   Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3 - 5 years of related experience in building construction, mechanical, electrical and or plumbing trade(s); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES OR REGISTRATIONS:

  • OSHA 30 Hour Certification.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License with minimal infractions.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The employee will frequently stand, walk, stoop, climb, kneel or crouch during shift. Employee will be required to regularly use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee must be able to occasionally lift, move or push up to 50 lbs.

TRAVEL:

  • This position travels 85 90% of the time.

 WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position works in an environment with moderate noise levels.
